Collection and storage of personal data as well as type and purpose of their use

Visit the website

When you visit our website www.micare-ps.com, your browser automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in so-called log files. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:

If you have questions of any kind or if you would like tips on stolen vehicles, we offer you to contact us using the form provided on the website. A valid e-mail address must be provided so that we know who sent the enquiry and can answer it. You may voluntarily provide further information.

Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a DSGVO on the basis of your voluntary consent.

The personal data collected by us for the use of the contact form will be automatically deleted after you have completed your request.

Inquiry by e-mail, telephone or fax

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your enquiry will be stored and processed by us with all personal data resulting from it (e.g. your name, your enquiry) for the purpose of processing your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Otherwise, processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. It may also be based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, as we have a legitimate interest in being able to process your enquiries well.

The data you transmit to us in this way will remain stored by us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or - e.g. if your request has been processed - the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular legal retention periods - remain unaffected.

Registration with your e-mail address / creation of a customer account

Registration of vehicles in the MICARE PS database

If you would like to use our database, the Missing Car Register, on a contractual basis, you can register a vehicle after registering with your e-mail address and password and agree on the service you require.

In our registration form for the entry in the database, a lot of data about the vehicle to be registered is collected. As far as conclusions can be drawn about your person from this, it is also personal data (e.g. registration number). It is not absolutely necessary to enter the registration number in order to register on MICARE PS). 

In addition to the vehicle data, other personal data required for the conclusion of the contract, such as your name or address, are also collected.

When registering a stolen vehicle, you will be asked for quality assurance reasons to upload a copy of the police theft report. The report will not be made available to third parties.

Overview of the

When registering a vehicle that has not been stolen, you can decide whether the vehicle will be displayed in the public database. 

If you check "Show this vehicle in search results", the following vehicle data will be made generally visible to the public.

  • Model
  • year of construction
  • first registration
  • Official registration number (if indicated)
  • status 

All other vehicle data stored in the database are only displayed to registered users (cf. par. 3 e) Registration of vehicles on MICARE PS). 

Personal data such as name or address etc. will not be disclosed to third parties at any time. 

For the conclusion of the contract, the following additional data will be requested from you to complete the registration: 

  • Company, title
  • First name, last name
  • date of birth
  • Street, house number
  • Postcode, city, country.

You can also enter a different billing address.

We use your personal data to substantiate, structure the content or change the legal relationship, to fulfil the contract or to enable or bill you for the use of the service.

Data processing takes place in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

We will only transfer personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the contract, e.g. to the bank commissioned to process the payment.

Once the contract has been fully processed, we will block your data so that it can no longer be used. After expiration of the tax and commercial storage obligations, we delete your data, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data.

Payment via PayPal

On our website we offer a payment option via PayPal. The provider of this payment service is PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg. If you pay via PayPal, the payment data you enter will be transmitted to PayPal. 

The transfer of data to PayPal is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO (consent) and Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b DSGVO (processing to fulfil a contract). 

You can revoke your consent to data processing at any time. A revocation has no effect on the effectiveness of past data processing operations.

Disclosure of data

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties under certain circumstances. In the following we inform you about these conditions.


If you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DSGVO, we may pass on your personal data to third parties.

Representation of legal claims

Pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO, we may disclose your personal data to third parties if this is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. If we have to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in your data not being passed on, we will not pass your data on.


Legal obligation

If we are legally obliged to do so pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. c DSGVO, we will pass on your data.


If the passing on of your personal data is legally permissible and this is necessary for the completion of a contractual relationship with you, we can pass on your data to third parties.


We use cookies on our site. These are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your terminal device and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware. However, they do process data.

Google Maps stores your IP address in order to be able to offer the corresponding functionalities. This data is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have no influence on this data transfer.

The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offer and an easy retrievability of the addresses given by us on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Script Libraries - Google Web Fonts

This page uses so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google, for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. This enables Google to know that your IP address has been used to access our website. MaxCDN (BootstrapCDN)
On our website we use MaxCDN (BootstrapCDN), a CDN from NetDNA, LLC, 3575 Cahuenga Blvd. West, Suite 330, Los Angeles, CA 90068, USA. CDN shortens the loading time of common Java script libraries and fonts because the files are transferred from fast, local or underutilized servers. Among other things, your IP address is transferred to MaxCDN. 

Both providers operate servers in the EU, but it cannot be ruled out that your browser may also access servers outside the EU. The contents of our service and communication are not handled via CDN. You can install a Java Script blocker in your browser to prevent the execution of Java Script as a whole. In the footer of our website we link to our respective appearances on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. The corresponding buttons do not transmit any data to the mentioned social networks. Only when you press the buttons will you leave our website and be redirected to our sites on the social networks you clicked on. Pursuant to Art. 16 DSGVO, they have the right to demand the following:

  • immediate correction of incorrect personal data stored by us 
  • Immediate completion of your personal data stored with us;
  • deletion

According to Art. 17 DSGVO you are entitled to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information for the fulfilment of a legal obligation for reasons of public interest to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;


Pursuant to Art. 18 DSGVO, you are entitled to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted if 

  • the correctness of the data is disputed by you
  • the processing is unlawful, but you refuse its deletion and we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims you have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO;

Data transferability

Pursuant to Art. 20 DSGVO, you have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request its transmission to another responsible person;


In accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 DSGVO, you have the right to revoke your consent to us at any time. Thereafter, we may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent in the future. This does not affect the legality of the processing up to this point in time;


According to Art. 77 DSGVO, you are entitled to complain to a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or the registered office of our company.

Right of objection

We use SSL or TLS encryption on our site. "TLS" stands for Transport Layer Security, the predecessor "SSL" stands for "Secure Socket Layer".
