Trick with tracker

Investigators warn of new method of how thieves find out the location of your classic car!

In the case of expensive, two-seater convertibles in summer, this is a simple but effective trick that works best in busy old towns or at popular tourist destinations. The perpetrators' henchmen are in pairs or threes and stand next to the classic car to take supposedly "cool" photos with their smartphones. In the process, one of the participants inconspicuously drops a simple, small tracker behind the front seats. The thieves can be relatively sure that no one will look for a tracker in the car after a coffee in the marketplace.

The perpetrators managed to drop a small tracker into the car within seconds and without attracting attention.

But if you think you're safe because you don't drive a convertible, you're rejoicing too soon! The trick with the tracker works just as well in closed cars with a magnet on the tracker inconspicuously when "tying shoes". The module is simply hidden in the wheel arch. The perfidious thing about this is that the thieves now have all the time in the world to pick up the tracked classic car one day. This can happen when you are on vacation or in winter, when the classic car is parked in an underground garage or hall. In this way, the theft may not be discovered until much later, since the owner does not regularly visit the parking location of his vehicle.

If you now park your "thief-tracked" classic car in a hall with several classic vehicles, it may even happen that the thieves, when they strike, steal several classic cars in one action. This approach by the perpetrators also explains why, in rare cases, thefts have occurred in places where the owners were certain that third parties had no knowledge of the vehicles parked there.
